I bought this pergola thinking it would just be a cute little spot for shade by the pool. You know… somewhere to hide from the sun for a few minutes. Now? It’s basically my second living room. Morning coffee? Always under the pergola, with my feet up, pretending I’m in a magazine ad. Afternoon snacks? Under the pergola, watching the kids splash around. Avoiding my kids? Oh, definitely under the pergola—with my headphones on, acting like I can’t hear 'Mom! Mom!'

The neighbors keep asking when I’m going to invite them over. They wave at me from across the fence like we’re in some kind of backyard soap opera. But honestly… I’m still not ready to share my new favorite spot. It’s my little slice of paradise, and I’m guarding it like it’s a VIP lounge. One day I might host a poolside brunch here… but for now, it’s just me, my comfy chair, and the sound of water. And that’s exactly how I like it.
